Your to-do list
Monetary Policy (4.6)
Here's the story behind the song feature above.
We've hinted at it repeatedly but today is the day we finally discuss the central bank: the Federal Reserve. There is a lot to know so I've included some extra resources below.
AP Macro gets a makeover
If this topic isn't complicated enough, the College Board was convinced last year that the information they were teaching regarding monetary policy was wrong... so they changed it. Listen to the story behind that change below.
Your homework and what's coming up
We'll wrap up Monetary Policy on Monday (2/7) along with covering the Loanable Funds Market (4.7). Don't worry about doing the Topic Questions on 4.6 yet and there is no Edpuzzle on the Loanable Funds Market. There is a video posted on Google Classroom, though, to help give you some background.
You may want to begin work on the Study Guide for Unit 4 and keep your eyes peeled for the Unit 4 Graphing Test, which I'll hopefully post this weekend. My apologies for not posting it sooner. With the change in this unit, and consequently a new graph, I wasn't able to get far enough ahead of you to make the changes I needed to. Loanable Funds is the last topic for Unit 4 so start getting geared up for our Unit 4 exam, which we are on pace to have before break. The last of the make-ups for Unit 3 should happen on Monday so I hope to release the retakes for that exam then as well. It would be nice to have those retakes done before February Break as well so I can spend my entire vacation grading. |
