AMERICA'S RESPONSE TO A CHANGING WORLD
AMERICA'S RESPONSE TO A CHANGING WORLD
Your project
Climate Change means different impacts for different people around the globe. For this activity, I would like you to head around the globe to find some examples of this. Here is the process that you will follow.
Step 1: Choose your countries. Please pick three countries to investigate, one each from the following areas: the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Please diversify the economic strength of these countries as you choose them. My goal is to have as many different countries represented from around the world as possible. If one country is chosen too much, I reserve the right to steer you in another direction. Please submit your country choices to the Climate Change Countries activity on Google Classroom. Step 2: Research the impact of Climate Change on your locations. Please find at least two articles on climate change for the locations that you have chosen. At least one must be from within the country itself. To accomplish this, use a Site search on Google and limit the results using the internet country code. As you research you are looking for the answer to two questions: how is climate change impacting this country and how are they responding to it. Step 3: Create your final product. Design a final product that will include the following information for each of the three countries.

This may sound counterintuitive but what if was actually the case? Should we not spend our time sorting out our recycling from our trash? As with most topics we discuss in this class, the answer isn't so simple. Please head to the So, Should We Recycle assignment on Google Classroom. Begin answering the questions from NPR Planet Money's episode entitled So, Should We Recycle? If you want to learn more about the origins of recycling in the United States, you can listen to that podcast here. |
