Your to-do listUse today to get yourself closer to the end of the year, be it working on your final or other assignments that you need to get done. If you need to check out the instructions for the final, check out our last class' post.
Your to-do listCongratulations you've made it to the end of our course and the end of the school year. It's time to get working on your final.
At the beginning of the semester we looked at what your most important values were and we discussed several policy options or philosophies for the United States. Now that we have studied North Korea, the refugee crisis, climate change, and countless issues that you have brought to class during TCB, what do you feel the guiding principles for our country should be when addressing events in this changing world? Your task for the final is to address that issue. Check out the assignment here. There are more resources on eBackpack to help you through the process as well. I would like you to follow the process below as you create your final.
You have the remaining two classes to complete your work on this project. During that time, I would also like some feedback on how the course as a whole went this semester. What can I improve on for next year? Are there topics that I should add or delete? Are there elements of class that I should make sure I keep or remove? Please record your feedback here to help me do a better job for your classmates next year. Please keep in mind as you attack all of these tasks, that while you have time in class to complete these tasks, I expect that you will spend time outside of class working on them as well. Your final due dates are below.
Your to-do listPlease submit your Climate Change Policy Options Preferences to eBackpack. What should India do?If you recall the beginning of our unit, we examined what type of country India is: an up and coming nation, poised to become the most populous country on earth, with huge potential for development. It is also a country in which many people still live in extreme poverty. The connection to climate change? India's efforts to improve itself could also lead it to become one of the world's leading polluters.
Send a message to the people of India explaining what you feel India’s position on climate change should be. Should they be allowed to develop? Should protecting the planet take priority over developing their economy? Consider the different options you looked at in our Climate Change Policy Options assignment. Which option(s) should India follow as it tries to develop? Inform the people of India of your position and support it with at least six pieces of evidence from the articles provided. Please number the six pieces of evidence in your writing. Please submit your work to the What should India do? assignment on eBackpack. Collins Type 2, 33 points, 3 points for your position and 5 for each piece of evidence. |
