Your to-do listPlease see me for a grouping card. The Electoral CollegeOne of the most popular proposed amendments is abolishing the Electoral College. Pete Buttigieg, Mayor of South Bend, Indiana and Democrat candidate for President, has even made it part of his platform. This is not an open and shut case, though, as you will see. Today is your chance to weigh in on this issue. Our conversation will follow these steps.
All the resources you need are posted at the Electoral College- Structured Academic Controversy assignment on Google Classroom. You will need to turn your work in there when you have completed it. Your to-do listPlease submit your What's in the Constitution assignment to Google Classroom. Amendments and EmojisYour task today is to learn more about the amendments to the Constitution. Just as when we studied the original Constitution, I want you to demonstrate your understanding of the amendments. Today, I am going to take away your power of words. For each of the amendments that you work with, you can only use emoji to explain them. For each member of your team, please post emoji that represent five of the amendments to the Constitution. Please post your ideas to the class stream when you are done. Remember as we investigate them, think about our values project. What values do you see in each of these amendments? Could you use them in your project to defend your position? Beyond the Twenty-SevenNot every proposed amendment gets passed. Take a look at the Proposed Amendments assignment on Google Classroom.
